I loved seeing this!
We spent the day roaming the city, trying to avoid the rain and just adventuring! The architecture is beautiful and we talked to so many wonderful people.
We had a lot we wanted to see dso we kept walking. There were a couple things Jim wanted to be sure to see while we were here. One was the Mannekin Pis statue. We had been reading that the statue has around a thousand different costumes it wears throughout the year. The current statue is a replica as it has been stolen many times. We were excited to see what costume it would be wearing. We were almost there and it started raining but we kept going. We actually passed it up and then realized it was behind us. We were disappointed in how small it was! It reminded us of when we went to see the Mona Lisa. Again, we expected something much larger. And it had no costume on. Just a little boy peeing. It was still cool to see and since it was raining, we were able to get up close to take photos. Bright side to everything!
Next up, Delirium Village and Brewery. Delirium Tremens is a beer sold in the US so we had to go see it. There was Delirium "everything" and it was quite crowded. We had to go in and have a beer! So many different beers on tap. A friend had also told us we had to try a Doner Kebab. So we did! Huge and delicious! And we sat right outside the window where they were shaving the meat.
Our next stop was the Grand Place (not palace). It was stunning. We didn't go inside but walked all around the outside. Everywhere we turned there was just more beauty.

We stopped for drinks at an adorable outside cafe. I have found that I really enjoy the rose wine here. Very tasty! Jim likes it also. While we were sitting there enjoying our wine, we found out that some things are practiced everywhere. Including bachelorette parties and pink. We were hoping to avoid these!
We ended our evening in a plaza area with entertainment followed by a nice walk home alongside a canal. The short video below of the drums is quite amazing. They were just walking down the streets entertaining everyone.
Again, can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!
Love to all!
