Ghosts - Do You Believe?

Fall season is my favorite. It's filled with crisp air, beautiful colors and it's the season of ghosts and goblins. But do I believe in ghosts? Well, maybe not not in the traditional sense. What I do believe is that the universe is filled with energy and with spirits that guide me.

Throughout my life I have seen or felt the presence of these "spirits" or "energies", which I will refer to as spirits throughout this story. It's never been a scary or an angry feeling. It's always been a calming presence. Like someone was watching over me.

Years ago, I lived in an apartment building. I was on the 4th floor and my deck faced the woods. I saw them many times. There was no shape to them and it wasn’t scary at all. I was on the 4th floor and there were just woods behind me. So there’s no way it was someone just walking by. I would just see a “presence” floating by. Or sometimes just being still outside the sliding glass doors that went out onto the patio. There was no shape or form. Just an energy. Odd to think that a person could see "energy" but I have. One of my cats also saw it. I had three cats at the time but only one of them seemed to notice it. He would stare at it to the point I could tell he saw it. The others never seemed to see it. He didn't seem scared either. Just curious. There was no fear. No sense of danger. It was just a knowing. It felt peaceful. Not angry. Again, just like someone was watching over me.

Another time, while taking a hike, I had someone to my left walking alongside me as I hiked. I felt it was a male. It looked like he was on another trail next to the one I was on. I kept thinking it was a person that just happened to be walking on the trail next to me at the same pace I was hiking. I never felt that I was being followed or stalked. It just felt comfortable. Safe.

On my way back, I walked through the woods to check out the other trail. There was none. I looked over the to the original trail I had been walking on and I saw a silhouette of a man. He was a young man. And he was smiling at me. Then he disappeared.

Dragonflies have a spiritual meaning to me also. They have been special to me my entire life. They show up at odd times in odd places. No matter what city I am in, or what country for that matter, there they are. Often when I take walks, they walk with me. Actually, they play. They fly around me back and forth and I know they are there to protect me. They keep me safe and provide positive energy. When I googled spiritual dragonflies, here is what I found:

"When a dragonfly is drawn to you, know they don't have any time to waste. So when they are near you, you can bet they have a VERY good reason. Usually, they are there to tell you something important. If you are very stressed, always thinking about the past or what you need to do, chances are that a dragonfly will pay you a visit. "

To end this blog I will ask that you always keep an open mind. Believe in the unbelievable.
