Numerology vs. Astrology vs. Enneagram

The other night I was thinking about the fact that I am a Virgo. Every time I read traits of a Virgo I shake my head and say, "Yep, that's me!" Then I learned that Virgo is my sun sign and my moon sign is Sagittarius. So I am not only governed by my sun sign, now I have to look at my moon sign.

Add to that, I have to know my Enneagram number.

Add to that, I have to know my Numerology number.

What the heck! This was becoming a little frustrating. Which one was right? Which one should I follow? This led to the question, "What if they are all right?" My curious mind wanted to know so I decided to do some research and compare.

I started with Astrology and my sun sign, Virgo. ♍

• My element is Earth

• My modality is Mutable (changing)

• My ruling planet is Mercury

Traits:

• Needs to feel useful

• Has a quick fix for everything

Virgos are known for being perfectionists. They are known for their attention to detail. They are known for being intelligent, but because of their introverted nature they sometime have trouble expressing themselves which can make others feel like they never know what's really going on inside you. They love setting goals and checking things off their to-do list. They are normally very modest. They want to feel acknowledged for their contributions but don't need huge gestures of appreciation.

Next up in Astrology, my moon sign, Sagittarius. ♐

The moon rules the moods and emotions. The placement of the moon in your chart determines your inner self. It shapes your soul and what you need to feel emotionally secure.

Sagittarius moons have an adventurous, optimistic spirit to them. It's one of the happiest positions of the Moon. Sagittarius is all about wonder, spontaneity, friendliness and freedom. The can adapt to whatever life throws at them. They are always looking to expand their knowledge and may be drawn towards philosophy, psychology, and religion because these subjects give the ma larger view of the world.

Challenges: They can have trouble planning out things because they are spontaneous. In uncomfortable situations, they tend to flee because confrontation makes them feel restricted.

I chose to look at Numerology Your "number" is often called an angel number. I am a number 1.

Angel numbers are repeating numbers sequences, often used as a guide for spiritual exploration.

For anyone that doesn't know, numerology is a study that draws meaning from different numbers, number combinations, letters, and symbols in your life.

Spiritually, when you keep seeing the number 1, it's a sign from the angels to embrace what makes you special, trust your gut feelings and listen to your inner voice. It encourages you to stay focused and positive to achieve your goals. Or it could also be a loved one guiding you in spirit.

Number 1 is a powerful manifestation number that enhances your ability to attract your desires into your life.

The number 1 is associated with independence, news, and being your own boss. They are normally natural leaders, creative and hardworking, cut can also be stubborn and egotistical.

Finally, my Enneagram Type. I am a type 2.

Caring, Interpersonal, generous, demonstrative, people-pleasing, and possessive.

In general 2's are empathetic, sincere, and warm-hearted. They are friendly, generous, and self-sacrificing, but can also be sentimental, flattering, and people-pleasing.

Basic Fear: Of being unwanted, unworthy of being loved.

Basic Desire: To feel loved

Key motivations: Want to be loved, to express their feelings for others, to be needed and appreciated, to get others to respond to them, and to vindicate their claims about themselves.

The only one I have not mentioned is my Dosha type. There are three doshas in the foundation of Ayurveda, which is a holistic system of medicine and wellness that originated in India over 5,000 years ago. A Dosha is not a measure of personality so I chose not to include it.

I could have gone deeper into each of these areas but these are the general traits. Looking at the three areas above and researching the traits of each as it pertains to me, I am happy to say that they are ALL CORRECT.

This is not the outcome I was expecting but I was pleasantly surprised! And it helps explain some things about myself. Especially the numerology. I see "111" or "1111" all the time. I pick up my phone and it's 11:11. I have a favorite house in the neighborhood across from ours. I never paid attention to the mailbox but last week I did. The address numbers were 1111. These are just a couple examples.

It was fun to go through this exercise and quite eye opening. Sometimes you just have to believe.
