The first real traveling of the year for 2012 landed us in San Francisco.
Jim actually had to work during the days so I REALLY acted like a tourist while he wasn’t around! Camera over my shoulder the entire time.
My adventures took me quite a few places….
– Drinks with Patricia, a good friend that lives in San Francisco.
– A ferry ride over to Sausalito. I spent the day walking……… and walking……….. and walking.
– Jim drove me over to the Marin Headlands at night. BRRRRRRR! We were so cold and it was so windy at the top of the hills but we got great photos of the Golden Gate Bridge.
– Topsider bus tour through San Francisco. Actually, two bus tours. It was raining during the first drive around so I stayed on for the second ride around and sat on the top of the bus in the sun.
– Night time tour of Alcatrez. Jim got great photos!
– The Buena Vista for Irish Coffee (of course).
– Annabelle’s Bar and Bistro (recommended by my son).
I had forgotten how beautiful San Francisco is and how much there is to do. The history there is amazing and I learned so many things. Little bits of info everywhere! Between Jim feeding me info all week and the tour bus driver giving me history lessons, I left the city knowing tons more about San Francisco than I knew when I arrived!
