I love Springtime! It's the beginning of new things. Fresh starts. Sunshine! Outdoor activities. Today I was outside burning bushes that did not make it through the December hard freeze that we had. It's very sad but I also have new things starting. Mint to the left and basil to the right. They are doing great. More spices to come. I just wanted to start slow to make sure all freezes were gone.
I also put my rosemary back outside on our patio. This is the first time I managed to keep my rosemary alive over the winter. It's a little skimpy but I am confident it will fluff up during the Spring and Summer. I'm shocked and pleasantly surprised it actually made it though. I cook with the rosemary that I grow and I'm always happy that I don't have to go to the store to buy it. The basil I use for seasoning and also to make pesto. It's yummy! The mint I use for drinks or to just put a leaf in my mouth and enjoy the refreshing taste.

Felix and Pico are losing their winter hair. As you can see from the first picture, Felix is enjoying the patio furniture. My Yoga Frog also made it through the winter. Al and CeCe bought this for me for my birthday last year. He sits out on the patio and watches over things to keep things calm.
I'm not sure if you can see it, but their is a little cat house on the right side of the patio. We have had a cat coming to visit. We think it is a female. Both of our cats like and hang out with her on the patio. If we try to go out, she runs away. Jim wanted to make sure she is fed and has shelter so he bought this house. We have named her Roxy. This is Roxy (left) and Pico (right) relaxing and looking at each other. They stayed this way for a very long time and seemed ok with each other.

We had friends from St. Louis visit this week which was a true delight. Charlie, Sue and Mary were on their way through town and honored us with their presence. We had a fantastic time!
So life is good at the Minigan household. We are thankful for all we have and planning many travel adventures this year.
Life is Good !
